The research cycle of light convertible aircraft with modified controls has been completed

Specialists of the Zhukovsky Central AeroHydrodynamic Institute continue researching the mockup of light convertible aircraft. In the long term, this aircraft can be used both for passenger and cargo transportation without modification of the standard design. The aircraft is designed to carry 50 passengers or six tons of cargoes. Cruise speed will be 480 km/h. Tupolev PJSC transferred another Tu-214 of special modification into operation. Tu-214 PU-SUS is released by “Tupolev” PJSC Kazan affiliate under the contract with the Russian Ministry of Defense. PJSC UAC and COMAC Approved the General Layout of CR929 Aircraft

On 6 June United Aircraft Corporation (PJSC UAC) and Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) approved the general layout of CR929 long-range wide-body aircraft. The parties agreed as to the aircraft principal geometry – wing span and shape, fuselage length, fuselage nose and tail section dimensions, aircraft fins sizing and form, location of engines, landing gear and doors.
